Martin Hall was Environmental Health director
A former government green policy chief has made the transition to the private sector.
Castletown-based renewable energy and technology firm SNX has appointed Martin Hall as its Principal Sustainability Consultant.
Mr Hall was made the Island's Director of Environmental Health back in 2000 - throughout his tenure taking on responsibility for pollution control, sustainable development and climate change action.
He is also the brains behind public schemes such as Energy Doctor, Cosy Homes and the Energy Initiative Awards (the latter of which have consistently been swept by his new employers SNX).
As Environmental Health Director, Mr Hall was also in charge of the campaign to attain UNESCO Biosphere status for the whole of the Isle of Man in 2016.
Commenting on his career move, he said the resources employed at SNX 'can only benefit the Island further... at a time when it is desperately needed'.
