PokerStars to support Relay for Life 2017
The sponsorship baton for a popular annual fund-raising event has been passed from one high-profile Island e-gaming business to another.
PokerStars is to be the main supporter of the 2017 Cancer Research UK Relay for Life, taking over from Celton Manx which has been corporate sponsor for the past six years.
Organiser Lynn Bell welcomed the collaboration: " .. PokerStars brings with it a wealth of experience in supporting local charity events, they have a great infrastructure to help us grow the event and a very enthusiastic team of people who are keen to get involved."
She thanked Celton Manx for its "loyal support".
Head of Corporate giving at PokerStars Sue Hammett said: "It's a wonderful community event which inspires so many people in the Island and we hope that our involvement will ensure it goes from strength to strength."
Registration has opened for this year's relay, which takes place at the National Sports Centre on 26 August.
