Hundreds of pounds have been raised for the Manx Blind Welfare Society at the latest Sporting and Dining Club event.
Special guest celebrity explorer and author Ranulph Fiennes drew a large audience to the Villa Marina, which raised more than £450 for the charity.
Sponsored by Specsavers on Strand Street, Douglas, proceeds from the event will go towards continuing the services of the charity and assisting the more than 600 people dealing with sight loss on the Island.
The next Sporting and Dining Club event will take place at the Palace Hotel with former international rugby player, manager of England and motivational speaker Martin Johnson the guest speaker.
