Features to be introduced gradually
Offshore Group customers at Standard Bank are now able to access their accounts whilst on the move, thanks to the upgrades to its banking app.
The changes now mean account holders can view balances and transaction history on their smartphones, as well as make cross-currency payments.
Fingerprint recognition and touch ID will also feature on the app – which is being launched in two phases.
The first phase is complete and allows view-only and inter-account transfers, with the second phase allowing the app to become fully transactional – with new features planned for 2016.
The app is currently available on both the Apple Store and the Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices.
