Telecoms provider launches new feature
Island telecoms provider Sure has launched a new offer for its users, aimed at cutting the cost of using data abroad.
A 'roaming booster' feature will reduce charges in the UK, France and the Republic of Ireland to 12p per megabyte, and to 30p in the rest of the EU.
The booster costs £6 a month, and can be turned off at any time - it also cuts the price of data, calls and texts elsewhere in the world.
Sure's measure comes as Manx Telecom this week slashed its UK and EU data roaming charges.
Mike Fawkner-Corbett, Head of Product at Sure, says the new prices represent excellent value for money.
He insists the company is committed to preventing customers from racking-up unexpectedly high bills when abroad.
