Broadband provider sees impact of people working from home
Broadband provider Wi-Manx has reported an increase in online traffic across the Island of 15 per cent since lockdown.
A breakdown of data usage shows a rise across the board, from online grocery shopping to gaming, with video calling drawing the largest rise of 50 per cent.
The number of people using Microsoft Remote Desktop has risen by 967 per cent - as many have now been working from home.
Reports also show a 20 per cent increase in traffic to streaming sites such as Netflix.
