The Manx government wants to hear from people who understand accountancy and tax issues.
The Appointments Commission is looking for new members of the Income Tax Commission, which settles income tax disputes.
The eight-strong commission meets four times a year to decide the cases of people who feel aggrieved about their tax assessments.
Applicants don't need any formal qualifications but anybody who has worked for a department dealing with income tax in the last three years can't apply.
Further information is available from the secretary of the Appointments Commission, on 687562.
