Tax return fines for companies

Twenty-three Isle of Man companies and individuals have been fined collectively more than £11,000 for failing to get their tax returns in on time.

Magistrates handed out the fines at Douglas courthouse, ordering the defendants to pay up to £1,300 each, plus court costs.

The Treasury say the individual penalty can be up to £5,000.
