TIEA with Italy has come into force

Final seal on tax exchange agreement

There's confirmation from government the Isle of Man’s Tax Information Exchange Agreement with Italy came into force earlier this month.

The agreement was signed on 16 September 2013 in London between Treasury Minister Eddie Teare Pasquale Q Terracciano, Ambassador of Italy in the United Kingdom.

The Isle of Man ratified the agreement at the November 2013 sitting of Tynwald.

Later that month, Chief Minister Allan Bell told the Italian government ratification had taken place.

On 10 June 2015, the chief minister received notification from Mr Terracciano that the Italian government had completed its own ratification procedures.

The text of the agreement can be viewed on the International Agreements page of the Isle of Man Treasury Income Tax Division’s website, which can be found via gov.im.
