A chartered accountant with a Douglas-based firm is celebrating after achieving the highest exam results in the Island.
Lauren Cooper passed her ACCA exams at the first attempt, scoring the 33rd highest marks in the world.
Lauren, who works in SMP Partners’ accounting and tax department, has been studying for her professional qualifications since joining the company in 2011.
Group Managing Director Mark Denton says the results show Lauren’s not just an asset to the company, but also to clients, too.
