A travel agency says has it’s had huge growth in the use of its travel websites.
The Online Regional Travel Group which owns travel companies including Mann Link Travel, says its VisitIOM, Manxflights and Manxferries had a very busy January with four times the sales it saw last year.
From a modest 20 reservations made via the ferry booking site in January 2014, bookings grew to 400 last month.
The company says income has grown by 115% year on year, with sales across all three sites in January 2015 exceeding £100,000.
Brian Kelly the group’s chief executive, says 98 per cent of the bookings made online are for passengers heading to the Island.
He says he hopes to see a million pounds in sales across the websites over the coming year.
