Sportingbet, an eGaming website, has had its Turkish site blocked, after it said it was selling its operation in the country.
The £125 million deal will see East Pioneer Corp run the Turkish operation for GVC Holdings, which is headquartered in St George's Street, Douglas.
But anybody in Turkey trying to log onto Sportingbet's Turkish-facing site has found a message saying it has been closed by the country'sTelecommunications and Communications Ministry.
A spokesman for the ministry said authorities would continue to search out gambling sites and block them, under a 2007 anti-gambling law.
