The Estonian Ambassador to the UK Her Excellency Aino Lepik von Wiren has visited the Island on a two day visit.
Three years ago the two countries signed a double taxation agreement.
This was a follow-up trip with the emphasis on closer co-operation in a number of industries, including IT, telecoms and the e-gaming sector. A series of presentations showcased the Isle of Man’s diverse economic offering.
Her Excellency said that Estonia was working hard to develop its economy and to obtain entry into the European single currency last year, adding the country was always looking to build positive relations with other nations.
She said she had been impressed by the diversity of the Isle of Man’s economy and looked forward to further strengthening the alliance between the two countries.
The Estonian delegation also took a look at several Manx National Heritage sites.
