Bid to improve sound quality of mobile calls
People are being encouraged to take part in a project which could help to improve the sound quality of mobile phone calls for those with varying degrees of hearing loss.
Isle of Man based Goshawk Communications has already carried out clinical trials on the software, and is now preparing for a 'soft launch' of the product to gather feedback on the product.
The technology is being rolled out through Manx Telecom Pay Monthly mobile contracts.
Volunteers are being coordinated by not for profit enterprise Ideas for Ears, and those interested in taking part can find out more by contacting Sally Shaw at sally.shaw@ideasforears.org.uk.
A full launch is planned for this summer.
