Citywing event unites brawn and business!
Southern Nomads claimed victory at Citywing’s annual charity plane pull event – which raised thousands of pounds for local good causes.
The contest saw teams from SMP Partners, Hansard, Barclays, Shoprite, Southern Nomads, Crossfit and Isle of Man Post Office battling it out to drag an aircraft across the tarmac in the quickest time.
In total, £1,192 was raised for the Diana Princess of Wales Care at Home Trust – and Barclays matched that figure to make a grand total of £2,384.
The winning time to pull an aircraft over the 34-yard course? Nomads took just 13.21 seconds.
