A former worker at Manx Independent Carriers has lost his case for negligence against his former employer and a United Kingdom-based freight company.
Andrew William Collins claimed he injured his back in 2003 when a pallet of washing machines, sent to the Isle of Man by Paul Davis Freight Services, fell on him.
But Deemster Corlett said he couldn't believe Mr Collins' account of how the accident happened, and records kept by Manx Independent Carriers indicated there were no washing machines on pallets.
He dismissed the claim.
