Organisers of the Island's first big wedding fair of the year say the event attracted record numbers.
Three hundred and forty visitors packed the fair at the Sefton Hotel on Sunday 1 February, up 22 per cent on the 2014 figure.
Island businesses offering specialist wedding services and products showcased themselves around the hotel's atrium water garden, in what has been described as the busiest fair at the venue so far.
A number of companies say inquiries made by couples on the day have since been converted into firm orders.
The Sefton Group’s marketing manager Nicola Wilkinson said: ‘Last year’s event was a tremendous success but this year’s wedding fair surpassed all expectations.'
She went on: 'The encouraging number of visitors combined with the positive feedback we've received demonstrate that even in these challenging economic times there will always be demand for a high quality, well organised showcase event.'
