More than £16,000 in fines collected
More than a dozen local companies have been prosecuted for tax offences.
Magistrates have filed and published a list of the offending organisations, which were prosecuted over the last financial year.
A total of 22 businesses and individuals, including company directors, were prosecuted for offences ranging from late tax returns to incorrect declarations.
Companies in the property sector, aviation, IT and hospitality were caught out.
Many had failed to pay the right amount of income tax or make National Insurance contributions.
The cases combined generated more than £16,000 in fines.
