KPMG offers thoughts on Brexit
Should the Isle of Man worry about its import and export trade in the event of a Brexit?
Yes and no, says Paul Cawley, a senior VAT and Customs manager at KPMG.
He told Alex Bell although there are worries over the movement of goods through Europe after the UK’s referendum, it’s not a major part of the Manx economy.
Paul says given time the dust will settle and there’s no immediate need to be unduly concerned until the situation becomes clearer:
Tourist tax would be 'wrong move at the wrong time', says Douglas hotelier
Diesel price increases 'could put some taxi drivers out of business'
Interim census 'important for business as well as government'
Fuel retailer urges motorists to avoid refilling diesel until tomorrow
