Xenial Xerus beta on the way

Latest release from Canonical Software

Manx-based Canonical Software is getting ready to release a beta version of its Ubuntu Linux operating system.

Ubuntu 16.04, codenamed Xenial Xerus, is getting closer to the end of its current development cycle, and the beta is expected to be out by the end of this week.

Canonical, founded by Santon resident Mark Shuttleworth, says this version of Ubuntu will use the 4.4 Linux kernel.

Xenial Xerus is set for a full release on April 21.
