Beach Buddies celebration in the west
It's 10K Day for Beach Buddies!
The charity is holding a celebration to mark their 10,000th volunteer - and a recent donation of £10,000.
The Buddies, other environmental charities such as the Manx Wildlife Trust, Friends of the Earth and Manx Birdlife, along with school children and MHKs are all attending the event in a marquee at Niarbyl.
Manx Radio is broadcasting live from Niarbyl all afternoon.
Speaking to Stu Peters on this morning's Talking Heads programme, Buddies founder Bill Dale said he's amazed how quickly his idea has grown from being one man and his dog, to involving 1 in 8 of the Island's population . . and how it's original aims have changed
