Event 'running as normal', says Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion IOM says this year's poppy appeal is running as normal, except it will not be conducting door-to-door collections.
The 2020 campaign was launched this weekend at the Douglas Town Hall, by Mayor Jon Joughin.
All the usual Island outlets will be open, the organisation says, and the Island's branch wants to continue its record of collecting more money per head than anywhere else.
It claims to have won the 'Poppy Cup' for the past 42 years on the trot.
