275 free panto tickets for children in need

'Tin Man's Tickets' initiative launched this year

Two hundred and seventy five free tickets for this year's pantomime at the Gaiety Theatre are to be offered to Island families and children in need.

The 'Tin Man's Tickets' initiative helps those who have had adverse childhood experiences, or who've suffered financial or personal difficulties, to enjoy the pantomime experience.

This year's panto is The Wizard of Oz and The Children's Centre will distribute the tickets to those they've identified as most in need.

Joff Whitten, Head of the Children’s Centre, said: "Christmas can hopefully be a time for joy and celebration and sharing, these tickets will give the families we work with a little boost at a time when sadly so many are struggling.

"We can’t thank the VillaGaiety and IOM Arts Development teams enough for affording us the opportunity to trial this initiative. I know it will be really appreciated by those who attend."

The cost of the tickets is being covered by the Isle of Man Arts Council.
