More Island students told to stay at home
Thirty teaching staff will be absent from Ballakermeen High School tomorrow.
It's led to the school asking Year 9 students to stay at home on Friday.
The head teacher has written to parents and carers saying staffing absences have increased as the week has progressed.
Adrienne Burnett says she's hired as many supply teachers as she can – and has been 'doubling up' classes – but there are too many classes which require cover.
She's added that asking children to stay at home is 'very much a last resort'.
