More than 1,000 people self-isolating

71 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected from 499 tests returned in the last 24 hours.

It's the biggest daily increase in cases since the start of the pandemic, and the Isle of Man Government says it expects the number to keep rising.

There are 234 active cases, five of which are in hospital.

More than 1,000 people are now self-isolating, of whom 287 have been instructed to do so in the last 24 hours.

The total number of cases confirmed since the start of the pandemic is 676.
