41-year-old shouted abuse at staff after last orders
A Port Erin man who shouted abuse at pub staff for refusing to serve him after the bar was closed has been fined £900.
Forty-one-year-old Christopher Thomas Davis, of Close Corneil, appeared at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly behaviour on licensed premises from 15 November.
The court heard Davis had been drinking in The Haven, on Station Road in Port Erin, for more than three hours.
After having up to six pints, and a double Jack Daniels, Davis demanded another drink after last orders but became aggressive when he was told he couldn't have one.
The court heard he'd shouted foul-mouthed abuse at customers and staff before police were called - he was arrested after he refused to leave.
Magistrates told unemployed Davis that refusal meant his night out had been extremely expensive.
They fined him £900 and ordered him to pay £125 towards prosecution costs at the rate of £10 per week.
