Advice from University College Isle of Man on results day
Any A-Level students feeling overwhelmed after not achieving the grades they wanted on results day - or those who are unsure about their next steps - are being advised to 'take a breath'.
It was a positive year overall for Manx students, who achieved an overall pass rate of 99 percent.
Of those results, 55 percent were A* to B grade, with 79 percent in the A* to C range.
That marks an increase on 2024 when there was an overall pass rate of 98 percent, with 49 percent at A* to B and 77 percent A* to C.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says early indications are that around 80 percent will continue into higher education, with others moving into employment or apprenticeships.

For students who feel uncertain about their next steps after receiving exam results, an event will take place at University College Isle of Man next month to help them explore their options.
That event will be held at the Homefield Road campus on Monday, 1 September.
"Take a deep breath. It's a beautiful day. If I were you I'd be taking a walk along the beach this evening. Then, first thing in the morning get in touch with UCAS or UCM."
For now though, Gail Corrin, UCM's Higher Education Manager, has been speaking to Manx Radio about what options are available for students who didn't get the results they wanted:
UCM says Level 3 students have achieved strong results this year, with 96 percent passing their qualifications - equivalent to A levels - and 69 percent gaining a merit or distinction.
The college says the pass rate is an improvement on last year, with all Animal Management students achieving a merit or distinction.
Level 3 courses at UCM include BTECs, diplomas, and access to higher education programmes, aimed at preparing students for further study or employment.
