MLC believes scrutiny will be more appropriate in the future
A Tynwald motion for a committee to look at how abortion legislation is implemented on the Isle of Man has been withdrawn.
Kate Lord-Brennan MLC thanked all the members who contributed to the debate, which continued this morning on day two of the sitting.
Mrs Lord-Brennan then asked to withdraw the motion after listening to the advice of the chamber.
MHKs voted 13 for and 8 against the motion being dismissed, with the Legislative Council voting unanimously in favour of the dismissal.
