Sinclair recorded a 'non-negative' test after a random check
ACU Events Limited has now confirmed a Manx Grand Prix racer who was excluded from this year’s event recorded a ‘non-negative’ test result for a recreational drug.
The organisers had previously said Alex Sinclair had recorded a ‘positive result’.
It's understood drug tests record either a negative or non-negative result; Manx Radio has been told he failed to return a negative result in his initial test.
ACU issued the clarification at 4.45pm.
Mr Sinclair, a regular competitor at Manx Grand Prix since 2012, remains excluded; the matter will be passed to the Auto-Cycle Union.
