Allinson defends repatriation plan

First Island residents return on Manannan

The Manannan berthed in Douglas harbour just after 4.30pm on Wednesday.

She has brought back the first 29 Island residents to be repatriated from overseas.

They were then transported by coaches (with appropriate social distancing in place and under police escort) to the Comis Hotel in Santon, where they must stay in quarantine for a fortnight.

In response to criticism at today's media briefing about the procedure, education minister Dr Alex Allinson defended what government had come up with:
