Almost £3,000-worth of cocaine intercepted

Package of class A drug found at Ramsey Sorting Office

A man’s been bailed until next year as he faces charges of producing class A drugs to the Island.

Twenty-seven-year-old Craig Brown of Court Row in Ramsey appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith at Douglas courthouse.

He pleaded not guilty to being concerned in the production of cocaine to the Island from the UK and attempting to possess the class A drug with intent to supply it.

The hearing was told on 7 November, a package at Ramsey Sorting Office was found to contain 28.5 grammes of cocaine worth £2,857.

Mr Arrowsmith granted bail in the sum of £500, and Mr Brown is next due to appear on 21 January.
