Mountain Road remains closed
The Ronaldsway Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for the whole island today for ice, frost and wintry showers.
Road surface temperatures fell below freezing yesterday evening.
The Mountain Road remains closed. Yesterday, police said 'the full fleet of DoI ploughs and gritters' had been along the route, but it was 'too cold to make a difference.'
Gritters have been back out along the roads since 5:30am this morning.
The amber warning will be in place until 3pm this afternoon, with temperatures 'slow to recover' throughout the day.
