Update on Gary Roberts' replacement heard in Tynwald
An announcement will be made before the end of the week regarding who will take up the role of chief constable when Gary Roberts retires later this year.
That's according to the Home Affairs minister who has been presenting the Chief Constable's Annual Report to Tynwald this morning.
His final report shows that the Island is, once again, the safest place in the British Isles.
Jane Poole-Wilson also led tributes to Mr Roberts and his decade of service in the role.
Previous efforts to find a replacement had been unsuccessful.
At his annual award ceremony earlier this month Gary Roberts told Manx Radio he's set to retire and leave his role at the end of March 2023 with Remembrance Sunday to be his final public event.
Tynwald is still sitting and you can listen live via Manx Radio AM 1368.
