Deadline pushed back as online survey criticised
The deadline to submit your thoughts on the Island's Waste Strategy has been extended by a month.
Government is seeking feedback on the proposed principles which, it says, will then be used to develop a more detailed strategy.
The consultation - which opened on 28 August and was due to close at the end of September - had been criticised by one politician for 'lacking information'.
Onchan MHK Rob Callister also questioned why stakeholders, especially local authorities, had been given less than five weeks to respond.
Government says: "The aim is to develop a Waste Strategy that is reliable, economical, environmentally acceptable and sustainable for the benefit of everyone on our Island."
The new date for submitting entries, via government's consultation hub, is 31 October.
