Decline in traditional mail blamed
A small post office in the capital will shut its doors for good in summer.
Crosby Terrace Post Office on Ballaquayle Road is to close on 31 August.
It comes after long-serving manager Jack Coop announced his resignation - a position Isle of Man Post Office has decided not to refill.
Bosses have blamed a continued decline in traditional mail for the move.
Post bags are almost half as full as they were ten years ago.
A public consultation due shortly will ask customers what core services they would like to see maintained, as the loss-making company considers its future.
In the meantime, IOMPO has moved to reassure customers who will be affected by the latest closure - pointing out that no less than 10 alternative branches exist within a two mile radius of Crosby Terrace.
