Antibody testing only 30% reliable - Quayle

"No test is better than a bad test"

The chief minister says the Isle of Man may look at introducing coronavirus antibody testing, but only if or when it is deemed reliable enough by medical professionals.

The government in Jersey has announced an Island-wide coronavirus antibody testing programme there, having purchased 150,000 tests from a UK supplier.

The test is to help determine who is and who is not immune to the virus.

Because of Jersey's size, it's able to roll out the testing programme to all households there.

In this morning's inaugural 'virtual' sitting of Tynwald, Howard Quayle explained why the Isle of Man won't - yet - be following suit:

Many took to social media last night, and this morning, to ask why Mr Quayle wasn't following the same approach as his counterparts in Jersey.
