Third phase of Dandara development awaiting consideration
An Island-based housing developer is seeking approval to build nearly 130 homes in Ballasalla.
Dandara is seeking permission to create 128 properties on land between Douglas Road and Balthane Industrial Estate.
It would be the third phase of a wider development project for the area.
The first two stages of it involve 282 dwellings being constructed along with a bypass road from a new roundabout at Douglas Road.
This would be the final stage of the development on the northen side of the bypass road.
If approved it would see further amenities built at the site.
These would include a neighbourhood centre, local shop units, a children's nursery and an adventure style children's playground.
Dandara also says the latest set of houses which would be built under the plans would be affordable homes.
The proposals are now pending consideration.
