Concerns raised over spiralling vet bills
Pet owners on the Isle of Man are being urged, by the ManxSPCA, to respond to a UK watchdog investigation into the costs of veterinary services amid concern over spiralling prices.
The animal charity fears some are being sold expensive treatments that are not absolutely necessary.
The list includes blood tests - particularly on very old animals - and dental procedures.
The ManxSPCA says one of the largest multi-national companies, which has a significant presence on the Isle of Man, has reported revenue and earnings up from £1.31 billion in 2020 to £2.84 billion in 2022.
