Medical director unfairly sacked whilst he was DHSC minister
The former health and social care minister says he won't resign after a tribunal found the Island’s medical director was sacked for whistle blowing.
David Ashford – who is now treasury minister – was called to give evidence at the employment tribunal of Dr Rosalind Ranson.
It determined she was unfairly dismissed – an outcome Mr Ashford said was 'disappointing'.
He told Manx Radio he can't discuss the case in detail due to alleged 'sub-judice' issues:
