Threatened to publish Manx email addresses
A Facebook group which had threatened to publish thousands of Island-related email addresses stolen from the married dating site Ashley Madison has vanished.
The group said it would release up to 3,300 email addresses at 8pm: even though none could be verified as real users on the website.
A number of complaints had been made to the social network giant about the page.
However, just hours before its deadline, it can’t be accessed through the popular social networking site – although it’s unclear whether it was pulled by its administrators or Facebook itself.
