'People should have the right to choice' says Dr Allinson
A resident, who's in favour of assisted dying, is hopeful a Private Members Bill will be accepted in the House of Keys to give people the right to choice.
On Tuesday, Dr Alex Allinson will request permission from Keys members to introduce the bill to enable adults, who are terminally ill, to request assisted dying.
It's not the first time Dr Allinson has taken up the bill, in January 2020 he took it to Tynwald but was rejected.
Millie Blenkinsop-French is in favour of the bill.
She's twice petitioned Tynwald on the matter - once in 2014 and then again in 2019.
She told Manx Radio it's important people are given the choice:
