Attempt to beat beach cleaning record

Students Buddy-up to go for new record

Students from Ramsey Grammar School will be heading en-masse to the beach today (Fri 10th)

They're meeting up with Beach Buddies and members of the public as possible to try and build on their world record of a thousand people being simultaneously involved in cleaning one beach.

The record was set last year and it's hoped enough people will turn up this morning to beat the record.

Those wishing to take part are gathering at 9 this morning at the north end of Ramsey beach, with the beach clean itself getting underway at 10 for an hour.

As usual with Beach Buddies events, gloves and litter pickers will be provided . .  you just need to turn up by the new swimming pool in Ramsey in sensible footwear and bring plenty of enthusiasm!

Litter collected will be listed and analysed by the students before being re-cycled or safely disposed of.
