Police release description of suspect
Police are seeking a man who tried to rob Strang Stores yesterday evening.
He went in the shop at about 7.30pm, demanded money from the till, but was challenged and subsequently left the store.
No one was hurt during the incident.
The suspect has been described as six feet tall and of a slim build.
He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a grey/green hoodie, dark lower clothing and gloves.
Shortly after the incident, two members of the public are known to have been in the area: police are keen to speak to them as they may be able to help with the investigation.
Police are also keen to speak to the person who was driving a white Kia Sportage in the area at the time.
