Scammers telling people their page will be deleted
Authorities are warning of an online scam which has been recently identified.
The Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance (OCSIA) says it involves someone receiving a message on Facebook.
The message states the person's page is scheduled for deletion because it 'goes against community standards on intellectual property'.
A malicious link to what appears to be a Facebook page is then listed below.
OCSIA says it's aware of con artists tagging locally-based pages in an attempt to make the malicious link look genuine.
As a result, officers are reminding residents never to click on links sent by unknown sources.
