Attitudes have improved, but more work to be done
The Island's Autism Liaison believes attitudes towards those on the spectrum have improved, but more work needs to be done.
This week is Autism Awareness Week, which aims to end the stigma surrounding autistic conditions.
Carole Williams is a former teacher and now works with the Island's schools to provide support for autistic pupils.
She says it's important to listen to those with autism:
Repair scheme an 'antidote to throwaway culture'
Douglas council seeking sites for future housing development
Yellow alert for heavy rain issued, replacing previous warning
Most Manx students studying in northern universities
