Work to begin on 13 January
The MHK with responsibility for ports says he's delighted a solution to the silting up of Peel Marina is finally going to be implemented.
Tim Baker is also chairman of the Peel Marina Project Board.
It's been announced the dredging of 44,000 tonnes of silt from the marina over the next two-and-a-half years will begin next week.
The material is contaminated with heavy metals from old mine workings.
