Designs for housing and bypass go on display
Initial designs for a major development and bypass in Ballasalla have received a cautious welcome from the local authority.
Malew Parish Commissioners, local residents and representatives of the developer behind the scheme, Dandara, were all in attendance this week as the designs went on show at the commissioners' offices.
Formal plans are yet to be submitted, but involve 282 new homes and the new road, which would run from Douglas Road to Balthane.
Commissioner Margaret Mansfield says she's looking forward to seeing how things progress:
