Isle of Man rider died following incident at this year's Manx Grand Prix
The date of the funeral of an Isle of Man rider who died during this year's Manx Grand Prix has been confirmed.
Sam Naughton of Castletown crashed at Doran's Bend on the Snaefell Mountain Course during a qualifying session on Wednesday, 19 August.
A service to celebrate the life of the 37-year-old will take place at 11am on Friday, 25 September at Douglas Lawn Cemetery on Johnny Watterson Lane.
Confirming information on the service, T.S. Keggen & Son Funeral Directors says no flowers by request, however, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Billy Redmayne Memorial Fund, Grasshopper Ridge, Walpole Drive, Ramsey, Isle of Man, IM8 1LX.
Along with a host of tributes in recent weeks in Mr Naughton's memory, a fundraiser to support his family has so far generated more than £22,000 in donations.
