Miraculous musa at Milntown
Two small bunches of bananas from a plant at Milntown, have astonished staff at the stately home.
The tropical fruit was discovered when the fleece used to protect the plant, musa sikkimensis, over the winter months, was removed.
Sikkimensis is one of the highest altitude banana species, normally found in Bhutan and India.
Chairman of the trustees at Milntown, Charles Guard, says it's a remarkable find.
