
The Island’s Social Care Minister says he won’t force anybody to have their child benefit paid directly into their bank accounts.
This week in the House of Keys, Chris Robertshaw faced questions from North Douglas MHK John Houghton on the issue.
Mr Robertshaw says it’s much cheaper for government to pay by bank transfer than through printing cheques to be cashed at Post Offices and he's encouraging people to use this more cost effective method.
But he adds nobody is being forced to make the change:
